Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 is a legacy implementation of the original Pandemic board game. 

Players start off very similarly to Pandemic, with four diseases spreading across the world that need to be cured. Because this is a legacy game, it is played campaign style and every game that takes place will cause permanent changes to the board and other aspects of the game as a cinematic story unfolds. 

In Pandemic Legacy, players play through an entire calendar year, with two possible attempts to beat each month making the campaign last between 12 and 24 total games.
